Mentoring

A mentor provides support to our participants in accomplishing their NDIS goals. Whether that would be to try a new sport or hobby, assisting with motivation to get tasks done, or to facilitate positive interactions and form positive relationships with peers and family.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is there a minimum/maximum amount of hours required for support worker/mentor shifts?

    There is no minimum, we can do as little as you need! There is a maximum however. Any shift that is over 10 hours will need to be split between workers.

  • What are the ages/backgrounds of your mentors?

    Our mentors come from all different backgrounds and have many different hobbies and experiences to share. At EC Disability, we strive to match each participant to an appropriate mentor; not just pair a mentor with a participant to fill a shift.

  • What is the waitlist on a mentor?

    We currently have no waitlist and are accepting new participants. To get started, simply send an email, give us a call or enquire via our website.

  • What is the use of a mentor?

    Mentors are assigned to participants when the individuals goals are needing a little helping hand. We can assist with something as little as transporting and supporting you to attend appointments. All the way to something such as, assisting you in the self-preparation to gaining employment

  • How do we book a mentor?

    Simply get in touch and we will ask a few questions to try and find the right fit for your personality/needs. From here we will arrange an initial meeting and book in the timeslots that you require from there.
